Who is eligible to become an FCCS Instructor?

FCCS Instructor applicants may become Instructors for FCCS Provider/Instructor courses.

FCCS Instructor applicants are required to:

  • Successfully complete a FCCS provider course (with ≥80% post-test score) including core skill stations and complete the instructor curriculum.
  • Teach at least two components of a FCCS course (didactic presentation and/or skill station) within two years of instructor candidate application approval
  • >50% critical care practice ratio -- proof of practice ratio from the director of the ICU

Critical care certified practitioners would be accredited as instructors upon successful completion of all criteria listed above.

The applicant’s credentials will be evaluated by SCCM USA, and the applicant might get certified as instructors.

Note: It takes minimum of 2.5 years to become instructor, as after enrolling for the instructor course, you are required to take up at least two lectures in the FCCS Course.

After becoming FCCS instructor, its status should be maintained by teaching in at least one approved FCCS course every two years.
